We got tired of checking prices by hand
EcomTracker is a small Indian team building one thing properly: competitor price tracking for sellers on Amazon and Flipkart.
Built in India, for Indian marketplaces

Before EcomTracker existed, our founding team ran an electronics catalogue on Amazon and Flipkart. Every morning began the same way: twenty browser tabs, a shared sheet, and half an hour of copying competitor prices into cells that were already out of date by the time the day started.
The tools available didn't fit. Global price-tracking platforms charged in dollars, ignored Flipkart entirely, and were built for enterprise teams with analysts on staff. Indian sellers were left doing the work manually or not doing it at all.
We didn't want a dashboard. We wanted to stop opening tabs.
— How the first version got scopedSo we built the smallest thing that solved it: track five competitors per product, check them overnight, and send one email in the morning showing what moved. No setup call, no integration, no analyst required. That's still the core of the product today.
Since then, sellers have asked for price history, review tracking, bulk imports, team logins and CSV exports — and each one got built because someone running a real catalogue needed it, not because it looked good on a feature list.
Four things we won't compromise on
Every decision about the product gets checked against these. They're the reason some obvious features still aren't built.
India First, Not India Also
Flipkart is a first-class marketplace here, pricing is in rupees, and support runs on IST. Nothing is bolted on afterwards.
The Tool Should Come to You
A dashboard you have to remember to open is a dashboard you stop opening. The report lands in your inbox instead.
Honest, Boring Pricing
Published plans, no sales calls to see a number, no annual lock-in, and a free tier that stays genuinely free.
Your Data Is Yours
We track publicly listed prices only. Your catalogue and reports are never pooled, resold or shown to another account.
A small team, close to the people using it
No layers between the seller reporting a problem and the person who can fix it.
We Sell, Too
Members of the team still run live listings, so the product gets tested against a real catalogue every morning.
Ship Small, Ship Often
Improvements go out in weeks, not quarters. Nothing waits for a big annual release nobody asked for.
Support by the Builders
Write to us and the reply comes from someone who works on the product, not a scripted first-line queue.
Roadmap Set by Sellers
Feature requests are ranked by how many live catalogues they unblock, and the ones in progress are shared openly.
The people you'll actually be emailing
A deliberately small group split between product, engineering and seller support.
Rahul Sharma
Ran an electronics catalogue across both marketplaces for six years before starting EcomTracker.
Ananya Nair
Builds and maintains the tracking pipeline that checks every listing overnight without missing a night.
Vikram Kulkarni
Turns seller conversations into the features that ship, and decides what stays out of the product.
Meera Desai
Answers the support inbox, runs onboarding, and carries recurring problems straight to engineering.
Where we've got to so far
Built steadily, funded by the sellers who use it rather than by a growth target.
Tracking competitors in a shared spreadsheet
Two hours every morning across twenty tabs, on a catalogue of roughly 140 SKUs. The problem that started everything.
Overnight tracking and one morning email
Five competitors per product, a nightly check at 12 AM IST, and a single summary of what changed. Nothing else.
Both marketplaces in one dashboard
Native Flipkart tracking alongside Amazon India, so sellers listing on both stopped keeping two separate sheets.
Price history, review trends and CSV export
Every recorded price kept and charted, competitor ratings tracked alongside pricing, and any date range exportable.
1,000+ sellers, and Shopify in development
Team logins, bulk imports and custom alert thresholds are live. Shopify and WooCommerce support is being built now, at no extra cost to paid plans.
What we collect, and what we never do with it
Worth being explicit about, because you're handing us your catalogue.
Public Prices Only
We read the same listing pages any shopper can open. No marketplace account access, no seller credentials, no scraping of private data.
No Seller Login Needed
We never ask for your Amazon or Flipkart account. Tracking works entirely from the public listing links you paste in.
Never Pooled or Resold
Your product list, competitor set and reports stay inside your account. We don't build a market dataset out of what our customers track.
Leave With Your Data
Export everything as CSV whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account data outright when you close it.
Questions people ask us
Are you funded, or running on customer revenue?
Revenue from paying sellers covers the business. That's deliberate — it means the roadmap answers to the people using the product rather than to a growth target set elsewhere.
How big is the team?
Small, and intentionally so. Product, engineering and seller support, with no separate sales layer. If you write in, someone who works on the product reads it.
Do you sell on Amazon and Flipkart yourselves?
Yes. Part of the team still runs a live catalogue, which is how bugs tend to get caught before customers report them.
Will pricing change as you grow?
If plan pricing changes, existing customers keep their current rate for as long as they stay subscribed. We won't quietly reprice a plan you're already on.
Are you hiring?
Occasionally, and always for people who've worked close to Indian ecommerce. Open roles are listed on our careers page, and speculative notes to contact@ecomtracker.in do get read.
